About Us

Jamii Elevation community based organization is a grassroot nonprofit organization dedicated to elevating and transforming lives of local communities’ members in Kisumu. Started in 2021, we aim to restore hope and empower communities especially underprivileged children and youth, widows and the vulnerable to the negative effects of climate change.

In his first hand experience and interactions with communities members as they came  to seek for solace and spiritual nourishment in church, our founder Rev Peter Alaro saw the need to start the organization. His vision was shared with like minded people who together they started walking the journey of supporting : underprivileged children and youth , widows, churches and promoting environmental conservation practices . The organization has since been operational and resolved to be legally registered under the law of Kenya in 2023.
